Trish and Rob's Wedding Day - Photography at the Station House Hotel, Kilmessan

When Trish and Rob booked me for their December wedding at the Station House Hotel, I was so excited for a cosy, snug winter wedding, tucked away from the elements in the beautiful ceremony room, intimate bar, lounge and library area and the stunning dining room. What I wasn't expecting, was a glorious 1st of December day in the heart of Ireland, and their dream come true of an outdoor ceremony. Guest even enjoyed a drink on the terrace... you just can't plan the weather!

I joined Trish for the excitement of preparation in her room... relaxed, chilled, I just love an afternoon civil wedding with no rush!

Rob got ready on site... and you're never far away from the bar as well as a stunning backdrop hear at the Station House.

The Station House must have the most beautiful walk through to the ceremony area in the whole of Ireland. I 100% recommend adding a second shooter to you package if you are getting married here, even if just to get these shots like my fabulous 2nd, Hannah, got here, of the walk through the trees and fairy lights on your way to the aisle. The beautiful ceremony was conducted by Trisha Bonham Corcoran and I'm always in awe of the time celebrants take to really get to know their couples and deliver a truly unique and personal ceremony.

Trish and Rob spent their reception time talking (and lots of laughing!) with their guests, getting those must-have family photos and a few couple's photos around the grounds. The beauty of the Station House is that you really don't need to go far: there are such varied grounds and backdrops around without ever being far way from your guests for a quick catch up and a drink!

The rest of the winter's evening slipped by in a blur of drinks, laughs, dining, speeches, and culminated in a first dance back out at the turntable with sparklers... Perfect!
