FAQ
What is the cost of a newborn session?
A.A non-refundable session fee of €200 is payable on booking and reserves your date. This includes my travel, plus up to 2.5hrs for you photo session. You can then add on your digital and print package once you receive your online proofing gallery.
What age baby are the sessions suitable for?
A.Newborn photography is usually arranged within baby's first 1-3 weeks, however, the nature of a life-style session means that it's never too late to book in your baby's first photoshoot.
How far do you travel?
A.I cover a travel area of 1.5 hours from Tarmonbarry, County Roscommon with no travel fee. That includes Longford, Roscommon, Westmeath and much of Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo, Galway, Mayo, Offaly and Meath. A small fee will apply for travel over 1.5 hours
Can other family members be included in the photoshoot?
A.Absolutely! A lifestyle shoot will include parents and any siblings. If you'd like to involve grandparents, then it's usually best to arrange for them to pop in just for the beginning so that things don't get too crowded!
Do you pose the baby?
A.I don't use props or pose the baby in the traditional studio style of newborn photos. These sessions are about capturing your newborn in your arms, in their crib and elsewhere around your home. I'll let you get comfy and offer suggestions on positions to capture you all in the best lighting. I do bring along a small wicker bassinet, a selection of blankets and a few accessories if you'd like to make use of them.
When do the sessions take place?
A.I only book newborn sessions in the morning (usually starting at 10am) because that is when babies will be at their very best and a bit more cooperative than later in the day!
How long will the session last?
A.We'll book in for up to 2.5 hours. This means we can work around your baby and feeds, pausing when we need to to make sure it's a nice calm environment for your baby and for you. You won't feel stressed or rushed at all. We won't always need the full time, and I'll leave you to the rest of your day as soon as we have all of the photos for your gallery.
Are digitals and prints included?
A.Your session fee doesn't include any digital files or prints. You can purchase these separately once you receive your online proofing gallery.
Is there an additional charge for twins?
A.Not at all. The price covers the session time, not the number of babies you've had!
When will I receive my images?
A.Your proofing gallery of images will be ready for you within 3 weeks from which you can select your photos.
